The first mile follows the shore and offers breathtaking views. We took a shortcut in and spent some time at the top cascading falls. The scramble down to the shore is a little intimidating, but the rope comes in handy. Alamere Falls is a tidefall waterfall in the Pacific Ocean. The Point Reyes National Seashore, northwest of San Francisco, is the location of this classic Marin County trek. The trek to Alamere Falls begins from the Palomarin Trailhead on the Coast Trail. The parking lot is located at the end of Mesa Road, just outside of Bolinas.

Hearing the waves smash on the rocks and the Alamere Falls is a very popular hiking spot in the Phillip Burton Wilderness at Point Reyes National Seashore. The falls offer a spectacular sight, with water cascading down a 40-foot (12-meter) cliff into a gorgeous sandy beach.
