The Best 25 Leidseplein Hagedissen - 5th of June, 2021 The hagedissen have returned home. It is not for the first time that this area has been designated as a schop. Symbolic hagedissen After the lockdown, there is a lot to enjoy on the Leidseplein for terracenliefhebbers. I'm still keeping an eye out for the forty bronze hagedissen on the City Theater's balcony.
The Leidseplein (Amsterdam) The Leidseplein is a park in the heart of Amsterdam, located on the Leidsestraat. It grew along the Marnixstraat, the Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen, and the Singelgracht. The Leidseplein is named after the Leidsepoort, which stood here until 1862. De oude Stadsschouwburg heeft recht op de oude Stadsschouwburg. For the next five years, the Leidseplein will be on the schop. From Monday, the Leidseplein in Amsterdam will be closed. Then a large-scale renovation begins, which must be completed by the end of 2021. The parking lot is now open to the public, and bikers have access to all of the space. The forty hagedissen, created by artist Hans van Houwelingen, have been on display since 2015. This is done to create more space for bicycles. They're back now that the aanleg of the fietsenstalling is complete. There is still little to eat for them: the plantsoen where the straks gras appears is now a kale vlakte.
