This is, without a doubt, the most critical aspect. One of the reasons I've placed such a high premium on acceptance throughout this post is so that you won't respond badly when someone makes a negative remark about your looks. After all, you accept your appearance and know who you are, so anything someone says should have no effect on you.
Can you fathom the possibility of immortality? Reaching old age and then, rather than dying, returning to childhood and beginning again as a baby? This is the stuff of dreams for us. It is genuine life for the immortal jellyfish. These incredible creatures begin their lives as larvae, or planula, whirling about in the water. They then become static polyps on the seabed before converting into swimming medusa. Thus far, everything has been rather usual. However, if immortal jellyfish suffer damage or stress as a result of changes in their environment, they may revert to the polyp stage and restart. What was the median age of death between 1850 and 1949? 71 years old, just one year younger than their pre-100BC generation. Naturally, this sample had several apparent flaws. One is that it was only for guys. Another reason is that each of the guys was notable enough to be remembered. All we can conclude from this is that affluent, successful men have, on average, lived to approximately the same age throughout history, provided they haven't been murdered first.
