Prestige is undoubtedly the greatest all-rounder in the series, since it retains the XE's frugal diesel engines and a 197bhp petrol engine. The most fuel-efficient engine in the lineup is the 160bhp 2.0-litre diesel with a manual transmission, which Jaguar says can get up to 75mpg. This score exceeds the newest BMW 3 Series' figures, as the EfficientDynamics variant achieves up to 72.4mpg. Apart from that, there is a more powerful 177bhp diesel engine that achieves an outstanding 67.3mpg even when equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Starting at $51,100, the F-PACE 35t Prestige quickly increases in price when equipped with the $2,100 Vision Package (which includes full LED adaptive headlamps, a blind-spot monitor, and reverse traffic detection) and the $1,800 Comfort and Convenience Package (which includes heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, a gesture-controlled tailgate, and rear seat recline/release). $350 for the SiriusXM radio also seems a touch steep, however the $375 heated front windshield blew away a frigid morning's mist in seconds. In total, with the $995 destination fee, you're looking at a $58,518 vehicle. Yes, it would get you a pretty nice Porsche. Despite this, the F-PACE 35t has its own special appeal, not to mention practicality, which is more than enough to attract me despite any remaining rough edges.
