Colonel Harland Sanders started KFC, an entrepreneur who began selling fried chicken during the Great Depression from a roadside eatery in Corbin, Kentucky. Sanders saw the franchise concept's potential, and the first "Kentucky Fried Chicken" franchise debuted in Utah in 1952. KFC promoted chicken in the fast food sector, broadening the market by posing a challenge to the hamburger's existing supremacy. By rebranding himself as "Colonel Sanders," Harland established himself as a significant character in American cultural history, and his image continues to be prominent in KFC advertising to this day. However, the company's quick growth overwhelmed Sanders, who sold it in 1964 to a group of investors headed by John Y. Brown Jr. and Jack C. Massey. By the mid-1960s, KFC had become one of the first American fast food businesses to expand worldwide, with locations in Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Jamaica. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, it saw mixed successes on the domestic front, as it was subjected to a succession of corporate ownership changes by individuals with little or no expertise in the restaurant sector. KFC was sold in the early 1970s to liquor wholesaler Heublein, which was then acquired by the R.J. Reynolds food and tobacco conglomerate, which then sold the chain to PepsiCo. However, the brand proceeded to grow internationally, becoming the first Western restaurant chain to establish in China in 1987. Since then, it has grown fast in China, which is currently the company's biggest market. PepsiCo split out its restaurant operations as Tricon Global Restaurants, which was renamed Yum! Brands later on.

This web browser software substitutes transparent pixels for any solid color and its adjacent color tones in a Portable Network Graphics (PNG) photo or image. To match comparable color tones, provide a percentage of similarity in the options. By default, 30% comparable color tones are matched, however this may be changed as desired. If the color being removed is red, for example, it will also remove cherry-red, rose-red, wine-red, and similar shades of red. If you remove the color but the image's edges retain a pixel or two of the original color, you may refine and smooth the edges by checking the "Smooth Edges" option. This option renders the pixels on the opacity-transparency border semi-transparent. Increase the smoothness radius to eliminate additional pixels from the borders and improve the clarity of the PNG. Additionally, you may click on the input PNG interactively to rapidly delete any color and its tones. For instance, if you click on a green pixel, all adjacent greenish pixels become translucent. This way, you don't need to know the name or code of the transparent color; you can just click on the color in the PNG to make it translucent. Png-abulous!
