By siden av vre en film med adekvate sprsml om etikk og moral, reisen historien etter hvert ogs sprsml om etikk og moral. The requirements for the fem soldatenes self-plagte oppdrag are straightforward, and they must consider the menneskelige costs and consequences that this ranet entails. Fint skuespill av especialt Oscar Isaac og Ben Affleck illustrer tydeligt hvordan even hardbarked soldaters may have a rettferdighetssans som trumfer pengemotiver. Mark Boals manus gr imidlertid ikke dypt inn I denne materien, men akkurat nok til at filmen blir more enn âbareâ narkothriller.
Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times scored the film three and a half stars out of four, stating, "From directing to story to production aspects to performances, Triple Frontier is a first-class trip."
[29] Chris Nashawaty of Entertainment Weekly awarded the film a "B" and said that "it suffices to say that Chandor, Boal, and his raucous gang of he-men never relent. While criminals lack respect, Triple Frontier makes watching them rather amusing." [30]
When Pope gathers the lads, they are all doing quite different jobs. Redfly (Ben Affleck) is a real estate agent; Ironhead (Charlie Hunnam) is a Special Forces recruiter; Catfish (Pedro Pascal) is a pilot who has lost his license; and Ben (Garrett Hedlund) is an MMA fighter. They all talk in interchangeable jarhead jargon, as their names indicate. There are several fast-paced pursuit sequences and shootouts, as well as plenty of suspense throughout. However, the characters â particularly the sluggish Affleck â make for a C-Team rather than an A-Team.
The film began well, developing the narrative, tension, and characters, but quickly lost its audience's attention due to several poor plot twists. The cast is fantastic. Each of them is a known, top-tier actor. This may be a really fine film, but I'm sure it lost the audience's interest immediately after the theft. That is, you do not anticipate such amaetur films from special operations personnel.
