If you're looking for the ultimate combination of first and business class in the skies, the Qatar Airways Qsuites business class suites are for you! Qatar Airways Qsuites provide privacy, comfort, service, and attention to detail throughout the journey. This review has been in the works for a long, but I am finally getting to them this week! This is one I've been looking forward to since I got the opportunity to check out the brand new Qatar Qsuites the day before the first flight in 2017. Thus, I knew what it looked like in before, I had flown Qatar business class on their A350 previously (and thus experienced their famous service), and all I needed to do was combine the two in a real experience â and what an incredible experience that was! The following is a review of Qatar Airways' Qsuites business class â absolutely breathtaking!
Seats in the center
The QSuite offers the first-ever double bed in Business Class, as well as retractable privacy screens that enable guests in adjacent seats to create their own private area. Adjustable panels and moveable television displays on the center four seats enable coworkers, friends, or families traveling together to change their area into a private suite, where they may work, dine, and socialize together.
The Boeing 787-9 is Qatar Airways' newest Boeing aircraft. As the Middle East's first client for the Boeing 787, the airline maintained service to its 30 787-8s during the COVID-19 epidemic, owing to the aircraft's superior fuel economy and durability. Qatar Airways' investment in the 787-9 reaffirms the airline's commitment to sustainability and the airline's goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Qatar Airways' fleet planning and renewal approach looks to be paying off, as seen by the carrier's fleet profile. Qatar Airways specifically selected the Adient Ascent seat. Hawaiian Airlines has confirmed that this will be installed on its Boeing 787-9s, while American Airlines is said to be introducing this as its new business class seat on future Boeing 787s. One feature that distinguishes the Adient Ascent seat from others is its adaptability. I'm not referring to the finishing alone; rather, the arrangement of the cabin as a whole may be drastically altered. Airlines, for example, may alternatively choose for a more forward-facing arrangement in the middle. Hawaiian Airlines intends to do such, with alternating rows of double beds in the central portion.

Qatar touts an extensive collection of television series and films, and their system more than lives up to that claim. There is more than enough material to satisfy the needs of the majority of media outlets. All of this material is shown on a massive 21.5â3 monitor. That is an excellent size for a business class seat, and it is completely observable from either a laying or sitting posture. If you have a media device of your own, you can connect it to the HDMI connection and play your own material if you don't like what they offer on their system.
Check-in procedure
As I said in my Thailand travel guide, the check-in process was less than ideal. None of the personnel were aware of Thailand's Visa Exemption Scheme and were going to prevent me boarding the aircraft. After a ten-minute delay and a couple offshore phone calls from the manager on duty, the situation was resolved.
A fold-out, extremely generously sized, adjustable touch-screen 17-inch HD TV screen assures that you won't miss a single detail, whether you're watching a recent blockbuster or catching up on a small screen series. Additionally, the touch screen is linked with a conventional controller, which I used in conjunction with noise-canceling headphones. Why would you want to change? According to others, this is because the fuselage of the new 787 planes is somewhat narrower than that of the A350 and 777 (both of which carry Qatar Airways' Qsuites), and the 787 is not large enough to accommodate four Qsuites per row. Qatar Airways may have also sought to lower the seat's weight for economic and environmental reasons (discussed in more detail below). The new 787 planes will operate a number of critical routes between Europe and Asia (from Qatar), beginning with the carrier's Doha to Milan service on Friday, 25 June 2021.
All seats, including Qsuites on planes that provide them, are assignable at will, with the exception of guests buying a âClassicâ Business Class price. These allow for seat allocations just during check-in. When Qsuites are available, they have a mix of forward- and backward-facing seating. There is sufficient storage space in the regular seat for a water bottle, reading material, and other items. However, the Qsuite expands the storage capacity further with a lift-up side compartment and a wide table for more heavy objects. You may simply keep a laptop or a pillow and blanket in this area.
Qatar Airways Business Class Private Suite
For QAR450 (about MYR510), Business Class guests may buy entrance to Qatar's Al Mourjan lounge. While the price may seem high, when compared to the difference in price between Classic and Comfort flights, acquiring lounge access still represents a discount. Qatar Airways also provides access to its Al Safwa first class lounge for QAR600 (about MYR680), a more upscale lounge for premium and elite customers.

I agree with Beast666 that the financial cost of an update can only be determined through QR. The price is determined on your economy booking class and demand, and hence may fluctuate daily. Voluntary upgrades are possible if seats are available, economy is overbooked, and you qualify as a QR privilege club member. According to my experience, you need at the very least be platinum to be at the top of the wait list for such a sector.
