Dexter Fletcher interweaves elements from Eltons life with extravagant musical numbers (underwater ballet!) and dramatic drama. "Rocketman" has a remarkable dynamic and magical moments that propel the film forward. The seductive encounter with text writer Bernie Taupin (Jamie Bell) is delightful, as are the often bombastic costumes, which are crafted with exquisite attention to detail (im Abspann die Originale).
