I remember seeing the poster for this show and immediately adding it to my watchlist because it looked cool, the premise involved skateboarding, and it was an original anime from Studio Bones. I finally watched it and really enjoyed it, and it has exceeded my expectations with each episode since then. The first episode had a really positive atmosphere, which I personally like since the subject matter is so enjoyable. It reminded me of O. G. Pokmon and Beyblade, or any late 1990s and early 2000s program I grew up watching, and the atmosphere caught me in, but it just got better with each episode.

Langa visits DOPE SKETCH in search of Reki, and when he is unable to locate him there, he proceeds to his residence. He then grabs Reki's board and walks to a skatepark, where he is subsequently discovered by Reki. Langa regains his sense of adventure and discovers that he likes skating the most with Reki. Langa then expresses gratitude to Reki for all he has done for him; these are words that make Reki blush. Langa regards him as a strong adversary; he relishes the taste of danger throughout their race. Ainosuke has shown interest in Langa by sending him flowers and referring to him as his'Eve.' He is enraged by Ainosuke's treatment of Reki, yet he still wants to race and prove his mettle against Ainosuke. Langa seems to be unresponsive to Ainosuke's compulsive attitude, yet he expresses curiosity in skating against Ainosuke again when their race is halted, and subsequently imagines himself skating while pursuing an image of Adam. Langa's interest in Adam waned more when Reki and Langa's relationship deteriorated.
