The Arachnid Rider costume, like the Vintage and Spider-Clan outfits, has a cartoonish aesthetic. This version, however, is far more armored and serves as a direct tribute to the tokusatsu genre. The texture of the Armored Advanced suit is similar to that of the Future Foundation outfit, but with more heft. It has a color pattern that is very similar to that of the original Advanced Suit, but is inverted. The introduction of the Arachnid Rider and Armored Advanced Suits follows on the heels of Insomniac's news that Spider-Man Remastered will include the Amazing Suit, based on Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man suit from 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man.

Just when fans believed this insight was unique to their fandom, Insomniac Games and costume designer Dave Rapoza acknowledged the suit's origin. Insomniac acknowledged a Polygon story stating that the outfit is âtokusatsu-inspired,â and Rapoza stated on Twitter that he wanted to produce âinspired designsâ from Power Rangers and Kamen Rider. Rapoza also said that Insomniac granted him complete creative freedom when it came to creating the outfits, with âno pushback whatsoeverâ. Fans especially linked the Arachnid Suit to the design of Kamen Rider Hibiki, as well as the antagonist Killbus from Kamen Rider. Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the PS5 sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man, will premiere this week. The spin-off will match Spider-Man against the Prowler and the Tinkerer in a standalone adventure that will have its own eye-catching new outfits.

The costume seems to have been inspired by the long-running tokusatsu brand Kamen Rider, with the Japanese property's infamous protagonist donning armor that is very similar to the Arachnid Rider suit. It joins the game's more elaborate animated ensembles, and is certain to please any Spider-Man fan seeking an outrageous take on the superhero's looks. The second costume is based on Marvel's Spider-standard Man's gear, with the Armored Advanced Suit being a beefier version of the standard Advanced Suit. While the original Advanced Suit is still visible while wearing this model, it has been upgraded with new high-tech white and black plating and an armored faceplate. For those who mostly used the default costume while playing Marvel's Spider-campaign, Man's this may be a worthwhile option that showcases the design with a bit more flare.
