It's been ten days since Disney dismissed Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn over a series of improper Twitter jokes he made between 2009 and 2012, and the criticism has only grown. Guardians of the Galaxy actors Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt, and Zoe Saldana have all expressed dissatisfaction at their collaborator's firing through social media, while thousands of fans have joined a petition seeking Gunn's reinstatement in the Marvel universe. And on Monday, the entire Guardians cast issued an united statement about Gunn's destiny, indicating that they firmly support demands for him to return to the series' third film. Marvel Studios released Guardians of the Galaxy, a cinematic adaptation of the comic book series, on August 1, 2014. The film starred Chris Pratt as outlaw turned hero Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, a genetically altered assassin raised by the man who murdered her parents, Dave Bautista as Drax, a man hell-bent on avenging his family's death, and Vin Diesel as tree creature Groot and Bradley Cooper as genetically modified raccoon creature Rocket. The film follows Quill as he gets taken by aliens and spends his life as a minor interplanetary criminal after the death of his mother. Following his incarceration, he teams up with Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket to sell a deadly stone that is essential to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Gamora persuaded the squad to reassemble as thieves for The Grandmaster and The Collector after a time. She felt the Soul Gem still contained a bit of her soul that she desired to reclaim, and the Elders of the Universe had the knowledge necessary to locate it. They also proceeded to Earth in search of reinforcements, but were able to recruit just Ant-Man. They temporarily served as members of Nova Corps, assisting them in defending the Power Gem. They finally came into contact with Kang and Adam Warlock, who had already acquired the Soul Gem. After sensing the Soul Gem's capabilities, Drax intervened to prevent Gamora from activating it. Gamora abandoned her squad after feeling misled.

As a result, it seems as if Adam Warlock will play a negative role in Vol. 3. Perhaps even the antagonist? In the comics, Adam Warlock's tale often overlaps with Thanos'. And if Thanos survives Infinity War as a reduced foe, fighting the Guardians or even allying with them against a fresh threat, it's probable that Warlock will play a significant part in the third film. And then, let's say in 2025, he'll have his own film. Matt Bomer seems to be a decent fit for Adam Warlock, Trevante Rhodes, or, strangely, Alex Pettyfer. In any case, let's get to the fun stuff!

The Guardians Of The Galaxy Film
If you've been a fan of the Marvel films so far, you'll want to watch this since it contributes to the cinematic universe's expansion while laying the framework for future Avengers films (though in some respects, it seems more like Avengers 3 than 2). On the other hand, even if you haven't been a fan of the series for a long period of time or at all, it works as an adventure film. The primary characters have little or no connection to the previous films, and although there are a few familiar faces, particularly in the villain area, you won't need to know them to appreciate it. There is a significant macguffin that connects into the bigger plotline, although it is mostly used to propel the storyline along. Could you discuss James Gunn's approach to these scenes during your interactions with him and how it may vary from those of the other filmmakers with whom you've worked? Erin: He incorporates the information into the script. I believe he is the only filmmaker with whom we work who does so. He created this scene specifically to serve as a backdrop for the major titles. He also incorporates music into the narrative. All of his work has a musical quality. That is a large part of the tone of the Guardians films, and I believe a large part of why they are so beloved.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Cast
It was uncertain for more than half a year how Marvel Studios would proceed with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but the problem was settled in mid-March 2019. Following the release of Captain Marvel, it was announced that James Gunn has been reinstated as director of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy's conclusion. This coincided with a few schedule issues for the film, since Gunn had spent the months after his firing negotiating a contract with Warner Bros. to write and direct The Suicide Squad. Star-Lord/Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper and motion captured by Sean Gunn), and villain-turned-ally Nebula (Karen Gillan). However, in the aftermath of Thanos' snap, space-rebels are few (or in space). Only Nebula and Rocket remain, which does not bode well for a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 ensemble blockbuster. However, Avengers 4 will broadcast prior to Guardians Vol 3, and given the time travel and rescue themes, it's reasonable to presume the Star Lord will return. The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has not yet been revealed.
Filming is scheduled to begin in November, at least according to Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista, and will last at least six months, however Gunn added that it would also include filming for the forthcoming Holiday Special.
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in December 2022, and Gunn has said that it will be shot concurrently with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
