Kfc Logos Through The Years

The Story of Sanders' Iconic Style Here's the backstory of his signature beard and bowtie look. Sanders was recommissioned as a 'Kentucky Colonel' by Governor Lawrence Wetherby in 1950. Sanders began to 'look the part,' growing a goatee, wearing a white suit, a bolo tie (a sort of jewelry), and adopting the title "Colonel." At initially, his closest companions played along humorously, but eventually began to take Sanders' title more seriously. Sanders was so committed to his character that he never appeared in public wearing anything else for 20 years until his death; he even bleached his mustache and goatee white to match his hair.

Until 1997, KFC's logo was a very simple Colonel Sanders emblem. While the overall appearance was pleasing, there was one major flaw: his tie resembled the body of a stick figure. KFC modified its logo many times before returning to the old this year. If you look at the second picture, you will immediately see the stick guy and will never be able to ignore it:) Thus, I retained Colonel's visage with the bow tie, but it no longer resembles a stick man. Additionally, when I think of KFC, the first thing that comes to mind is a bucket of chicken. They had the bucket as well, but I slightly changed their version. I imagined the bucket as a portal to the world's most profitable chicken business. As a result, I produced the appearance of Sanders peering at us through that aperture. € Although this was not a significant upgrade, I believe this logo is in need need of a refresh.
