[reference required] The television special It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown was mostly about Woodstock. The whole cold open and first act of the program are devoted to Woodstock constructing a nest and bathing in a bird bath, as well as being trapped in a thunderstorm that Woodstock compares to a typhoon. The program concentrates on Snoopy attempting to ascertain who stole his nest while costumed as the World Famous Detective. [reference required]
Woodstock is not a very good flier. Indeed, he has no idea what kind of bird he is. He is certain of just one thing: he and Snoopy were supposed to be great friends. Snoopy is his best buddy, the only one in the neighborhood that understands his chirps. Woodstock is always on the lookout for new adventures, yet is as content lounging at home.
